Authorization & Legal Responsibility Statement
Last Updated: December 1, 2025
By proceeding beyond your initial login to Securelic, you acknowledge and explicitly agree to the following statements, confirming that you will use the Securelic platform in an authorized and lawful manner and that you accept full legal responsibility for your actions:
- Authorized Target Systems Only: I affirm that I will only use Securelic to conduct security testing on systems and networks for which I have legitimate authorization. I either own these systems or have obtained clear, explicit permission from the owner to test their security. I have the legal authority to approve and perform security testing on all target systems that I will scan using Securelic. I will not use Securelic to target or compromise any system beyond the scope of the authorization I have been granted.
- Compliance with All Applicable Laws: I agree to abide by all applicable laws and regulations while using Securelic, including computer security and privacy laws in all relevant jurisdictions. I understand that unauthorized access to computer systems is illegal under laws such as the U.S. Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. § 1030) and related statutes (e.g. 18 U.S.C. § 1029 on access device fraud), as well as under the laws of other countries. I will ensure that my use of Securelic and any security testing I carry out with it, fully complies with all laws and regulations that apply to me or to the systems I am testing. This includes, but is not limited to, laws against hacking, cybercrime, data theft, privacy violations and any regulations specific to my industry or location.
- Sole Responsibility for Actions: I accept sole responsibility for all actions performed through my Securelic account and all consequences that result from those actions. I understand that I am personally and fully accountable for any findings, reports or effects generated by my use of the platform. If my use of Securelic causes any damage or legal issues (for example, if I inadvertently disrupt a system or if a third party claims that my testing was unauthorized), I will bear all resulting obligations and liabilities. I agree that I will use Securelic in a careful and ethical manner to avoid harm, but if harm or legal conflict does occur, it will be my responsibility to resolve and not the responsibility of Velorqa or the Securelic service.
- No Liability for Provider: I acknowledge that Velorqa Software Ltd (the provider of Securelic) is not responsible or liable for my use of the platform. I will not hold Velorqa liable for any unlawful, unauthorized or improper activities that I conduct using Securelic. In particular, I agree that Velorqa is not responsible for any legal violations, damages or losses arising from actions I take on Securelic, whether those outcomes were intended or unintended. I understand that Velorqa provides the Securelic service for authorized use only and if I misuse it, I alone am liable for the consequences. I further agree to indemnify and hold Velorqa (and its owners, employees and affiliates) harmless from any claims or damages that result from my misuse of the platform. This means if any third party (including, for example, the owner of a system I test without permission) brings a claim against Velorqa due to my actions, I will defend and indemnify Velorqa against those claims.
- Securelic security tools do not perform exploit development, active exploitation, or offensive attack execution. The platform is designed solely to identify potential security vulnerabilities using ethical, lawful and industry-accepted security assessment techniques.
By checking the acceptance box and proceeding with the use of Securelic, I affirm that I have read this Authorization & Legal Responsibility Statement in its entirety and fully understand each of the above commitments. I agree to all of the above conditions without reservation. I acknowledge that any violation of these commitments may result in the suspension or termination of my Securelic account and/or further legal action if warranted.
In summary, I confirm that I am legally authorized to scan, test or assess the submitted systems and that I have obtained all required permissions from the rightful owners.
